Kitty Candy® was born in 2019 from a literal dream featuring my grandmother and my favorite uncle. When I woke up, I knew my life was about to change. I had a vision, a sense of purpose, and a feeling deep inside that I was being led toward something bigger than myself. I didn't know exactly how everything would unfold, but I knew I had to trust what I saw and go after it with everything in me.

And that's exactly what I did!

I'm LaTrice M. Madison, the founder and creative mind behind Kitty Candy®. My journey began long before entrepreneurship. At just 21 years old, I became a Dallas Police Officer, proudly serving my community for 10 years. Being a police officer taught me discipline, resilience, leadership, and the importance of showing up even when things get difficult. But deep down, I always knew there was another chapter waiting for me—one that would allow me to express my creativity, build something of my own, and make a difference in the lives of women in a whole new way.

After that life-changing dream, everything began moving at full speed. Just four months later, Kitty Candy® went viral—and then went viral again and again! What started as a dream quickly grew into a feminine wellness brand that began capturing attention and connecting with women in a powerful way. Watching something that started in my sleep turn into a real business was an experience I'll never forget. It reminded me that sometimes, the vision comes before you can even imagine how big the outcome will be.

Although Kitty Candy® started with a dream, I didn't build this journey alone. My mother and my oldest sister have played some of the biggest roles in helping bring my vision to life, and I am beyond grateful for everything they have poured into me and this company.

My mother is my biggest supporter. When I decided to take an early retirement from the Dallas Police Department to pursue entrepreneurship, she was right there rooting me on, just as she was when I first entered the police academy. She supported me when I chose a career in law enforcement, and she continued to stand behind me when I made the courageous decision to step into a completely new chapter of my life.

Having her encouragement through both major decisions means more to me than words can express. Walking away from a career I had dedicated 10 years of my life to was a big decision, but having my mother's support gave me the confidence to keep believing in myself and the vision I knew I was meant to pursue.

My oldest sister has also been instrumental in my journey, helping support the dream and the growth of Kitty Candy®. Their love, encouragement, and contributions are part of this company's story, and I will never take that for granted. I am proud to have women who believe in me, stand beside me, and genuinely want to see me win.

Kitty Candy® is not just a business to me. It's a dream that became a reality, a family-supported vision, and a growing legacy that means so much more than the products we create. I will always be thankful for the people who helped me get here, especially the women who have stood beside me from the beginning.

My career may have changed, but my desire to serve others has never left me. Today, I get to channel that same drive, determination, and heart into something I created from the ground up.

When I look back at where it all started—a literal dream involving my grandmother and my favorite uncle—I am reminded of how far faith, imagination, hard work, and a willingness to take a leap of faith can carry you. Four months after that dream, my business was going viral. Today, I continue to build on that vision with the same passion and determination that started it all.

And with my mother, my oldest sister, and the support of the women who continue to believe in this brand, I'm excited about everything still to come.
